Kisspeptin-10 is the decapeptide YNWNSFGLRF-NH2, the biologically active C-terminal end of the kisspeptin protein encoded by the KISS1 gene. It activates the KISS1 receptor (GPR54) on GnRH neurons. Reproductive endocrinology labs use it to study how kisspeptin signaling controls GnRH release, puberty onset and gonadotropin pulsatility in cell and animal models.
